A. Identify a Program at your School or District: After-School or off-site program O.K. as well. THIS EVALUATION IS A “MOCK-UP”- SO YOU WILL NOT ACTUALLY DO THE EVALUATION- JUST PLAN IT USING YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROGRAM AND COURSE MATERIALS.

C. Using the ASK Model presented in your text (Chp 3 pp.42-43) to put together your own Program Evaluation.
DEFINITIONS
A=”Attitudes” measure the beliefs or feelings a student possesses.
S= “Skills” measure when students demonstrate Mastery over a given task by applying knowledge.
K= “Knowledge” measure the degree to which students have learned information as intended.
• Specific examples of each of the above may be found in Chp 7, (pp 117,118,119)
D. Given the Program you have selected to evaluate, choose TWO (2) types of Evaluation from the list below for EACH Component of the ASK Model (Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge).So- SIX TYPES OF EVALUATION TOTAL.

E. Types of Possible Evaluation:
1. Pre- Post Test (Chp 7,pp.123-124) Mock- up 6 possible items.
2. Survey (Chp.8) Mock- up 6 possible items (Survey Monkey, other electronic formats available).
3. Interview with a Key person from the Program. Mock- up 4 Interview questions you would want to ask.
4. Focus Group Interview with a small group of people from the Program. Mock- up 4 Interview questions you would want to ask.
5. Pre- Post Statistical Data- what data would be compared, and why?
6. Portfolio collection of student work- What 4 items would you be sure to include?
7. Observations- Where would you choose to observe? Why there? Who would you observe-why them? What would you be looking for?
8. Role Playing demonstrations- Name three possible scenarios students would be asked to role play-what skills would that demonstrate?
9. Skill Mastery Demonstrations (Not role-playing) Name three possible demonstrations of Mastery- what would that document for you?
